ROH signs deal with video company

Ring of Honor announced Thursday a new video agreement with Ooyala to improve streaming quality and reliability of ROH's Internet PPVs and TV episodes online.

ROH says the new technology will lead to faster load times and include DVR-like capabilities - a person who orders the iPPV late can rewind to the beginning or join live in progress. The technology is scheduled to be in-place in-time for the Final Battle iPPV on Sunday.

ROH said in the announcement: "In 2013, Ring of Honor plans to continue making strides to provide a better online video experience as well as to increase the availability of content to our fans. Over the next month or so, all video on demand content and TV episodes will migrate over to Ooyala’s platform, improving the quality and availability of all video content."

Ooyala works with ESPN, Dell, and Bloomberg, among other companies, according to ROH. The company "boasts the fastest load times in the industry and promotes their multi-screen delivery as well as live streaming effectiveness." This includes "smoothest, highest quality" streams for all devices with live-streaming capabilities.
