Results For WWE NXT 7/29/2015
We are in Winter Park, Florida and your announcers are Rich Brennan, Byron Saxton, and Corey Graves.
Before our opening match, Enzo Amore, Colin Cassady, and Carmella do their introductory sing along promo. Enzo says they are doing great. Colin says if you aren’t a Certified G, then there is just one word to describe it and he is going to . . . spell it out for ya.
Match Number One: Enzo Amore and Colin Cassady (with Carmella) versus Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder
Dawson and Enzo start things off. They lock up and Dawson with a side head lock and he takes Enzo to the mat. Dawson with a shoulder tackle but Enzo with a drop toe hold and he walks on Dawson’s back. Enzo avoids jabs from Dawson.
Wilder tags in and Colin comes into even the odds. Enzo with a waist lock but Wilder with an elbow. Enzo with a cross body for a near fall. Enzo with a cravate and Colin tags in and Colin slams Enzo onto Wilder and Cassady gets a near fall. Wilder with a punch but Colin sends Dash into the corner. Colin with a punch to the midsection. Enzo tags in and he is sent into the turnbuckles by Colin. Enzo with a cross body for a near fall.
Enzo knocks Dawson off the apron and then Wilde sends Enzo into the ring post shoulder first. Dawson tags in and he stomps on the arm. Wilder tags back in and he connects with a knee to the arm from the turnbuckles and Wilder gets a near fall. Dawson tags back in and he kicks the arm. Dawson with a hammer lock Northern Lights suplex for a near fall. Dawson with a top wrist lock on Enzo.
Wilder tags back in and he misses Enzo and Enzo tries to make the tag but Wilder pulls Enzo into his corner and Dawson tags in and drop kicks Enzo. Dawson sends Enzo to the apron and has him in the ropes and Dawson with punches. Dawson with a slingshot suplex for a near fall. Wilder tags in and he kicks Enzo. Wilder with a knee to the arm and he sends Enzo into the turnbuckles.
Wilder misses a shoulder in the corner and Wilder hits the ring post shoulder first. Dawson and Colin tag in and Colin with punches and a Stinger Splash into the corner. Colin sends Wilder to the apron and he knocks him off with a running boot. Colin with a Bossman Slam. Carmella slaps some sense into Enzo and Enzo tags in but Wilder pulls Colin to the floor. Enzo goes after Wilder and Dawson with a clothesline on the floor. Wilder hits the Shatter Machine for the three count.
Winners: Scott Dawson and Dash Wilder
We go to Devin Taylor who talked to Jason Jordan and Chad Gable. She asks them why did they work so well together. Jason says they might not see eye to eye, but they make sure they get the job done. They do their job and they move on to the next one. Chad says they are not like Enzo and Cass. They ooze sleaze. The Hype Bros? It is a struggle to stay awake when they are on. They do not compare. Nobody compares to them. They are ready . . . willing . . . and
Jason refuses to say Chad’s name so Chad has to say Gable.
We go to commercial.
We are back with a video package for the Charlotte and Dana Brooke match. We get Dana’s comments about Charlotte. She says Charlotte asks her about the training and then Charlotte is in TapOut. Charlotte says that Dana is jealous.
Match Number Two: Baron Corbin versus Jesse Sorensen
They lock up and Corbin with a knee to the midsection and then he hits End of Days for the three count.
Winner: Baron Corbin
William Regal is in his office and Tyler Breeze enters. Tyler says that William never answers his messages. Tyler says he needs a match and he will face anyone from all over the world. William says he has gone to the ends of the Earth for an opponent and he tells Tyler to be careful what you wish for.
William tells Tyler to leave his office.
Match Number Three: Jason Jordan and Chad Gable versus Elias Samson and Levis Valenzuela Jr.
Jordan and Valenzuela start things off. Jordan goes for the legs but Valenzuela avoids him. Jordan with a take down and Samson tags in. Samson wants Gable so Jordan gives Elias what he wants. They lock up and Gable with a waist lock. Samson with a wrist lock. Gable with a bridge and he escapes the hold and takes Samson down and applies a leg lock. Gable lifts Samson off the mat while in the leg lock.
Gable with a front face lock. Samson tries to roll through to escape but Gable holds on to the front face lock. Gable with a side head lock and Samson kicks Jordan away. Valenzuela with a knee to the back and Samson with a forearm. Samson with a European uppercut and Valenzuela tags in and he connects with an elbow to the back of the head. Valenzuela with a slam and he gets a near fall.
Samson tags in and he kicks Gable and sends him into the turnbuckles. Samson with kicks to Gable followed by punches. Samson chokes Gable in the corner and he gets a near fall. Samson with a reverse chin lock. Gable with an arm drag and he tags in Jordan and Valenzuela tags in as well. Jordan with a clothesline and an overhead belly-to-belly suplex. Gable tags in and they hit the Grand Amplitude for the three count.
Winners: Chad Gable and Jason Jordan
Devin Taylor is with Dana Brooke and Emma. Devin starts to ask Dana about her match against Charlotte tonight and Dana says this is the night that Charlotte has been dreading because she has been running from her. Dana says she remembers when Charlotte attacked her from behind. Then she left Charlotte lying flat in the center of the ring. No one thinks she can beat Charlotte but no one thought she could take on the fitness world. Charlotte is lucky she is on Raw because tonight she is going to be serving an eviction notice that the Divas division is being taken over by the Total Diva. Dana says she won’t pat Devin the head like she always does because tonight is too important, but she comes back and pats her on the head.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Bull Dempsey is eating chips in William Regal’s office and William tells Bull he might have a problem. We have a video package recapping Bull’s cardio and eating problem.
Bull says it is time to get Bull Fit. We have a montage with cheesy 80’s music and graphics. We see other people working out while Bull continues to struggle.
Match Number Four: Charlotte versus Dana Brooke (with Emma)
Charlotte lets out a whooo before getting face to face with Dana. They exchange some words and Charlotte pushes Dana and connects with a boot to the head. Charlotte with a series of knees to the head. Emma gets on the apron to distract Charlotte and Dana hits Charlotte from behind. Charlotte with a shoulder in the corner but Dana moves when Charlotte goes for a shoulder in the corner and Charlotte hits the ring post. Dana gets a near fall after some forearms and punches.
Dana with a body scissors but Charlotte turns around and sends Dana into the mat. Charlotte picks up Dana but Dana is able to counter and gets a near fall with a lateral press. Dana chokes Charlotte in the ropes and the referee warns her. Dana catapults Charlotte into the bottom rope and she gets a near fall. Dana gets a near fall.
Dana with more near falls and a bow and arrow. Charlotte kicks Dana in the head and gets a near fall. Dana misses a clothesline and Charlotte with a chop. Charlotte with a neck breaker and spear. Emma gets on the apron and Charlotte knocks Emma off the apron and then Charlotte hits Natural Selection for the three count.
Winner: Charlotte
We go to comments from Samoa Joe about his match against Rhyno next week. Joe says that people have asked why is he in NXT. Joe says he is here for the NXT Championship. Some ask why is Rhyno here and he says he wants to be the past, present, and future of NXT. Joe says Rhyno’s future ends next week because you stand in the way of what he wants. Joe says that he will beat Rhyno down and he will choke him out.
William Regal is asked last week about what happened between Finn Balor and Kevin Owens.
Kevin stops by and he says it has been a rough couple of days and he says he is sincerely sorry. He says that did not mean for that to happen. He apologizes again.
William nods at Kevin and Kevin nods and walks away.
Regal says that he cannot wait to see Kevin get beat on the 22nd of August in Brooklyn.
We go to commercial.
We are back and Devin Taylor is with Eva Marie. Eva says that she is happy and excited about her wins. She says it proves all of the work she has put in has paid off. She is going for the NXT Women’s Championship title. She tells Sasha Banks that she better watch out.
Match Number Five: Kevin Owens versus Martin Stone
Owens and Stone with punches and Owens with a short arm clothesline and he punches Stone. Owens with more punches to Stone followed by kicks. Owens with an Irish whip and Stone moves out of the way and hits an enzuigiri. Owens with a back elbow and back senton. Owens punches Stone. Stone avoids a short arm clothesline and he applies a waist lock. Owens with a standing switch but Stone with elbows.
Owens with a German suplex that sends Stone into the corner and Owens with a cannonball and senton from the turnbuckles. Owens with a pop up power bomb for the three count.
Winner: Kevin Owens
We go to commercial.
A Rhyno vignette aired. It closed with him vowing to rip everyone in half with the “Gore! Gore! Gore!”
Back in the arena, The Vaudevillains made their entrance. The champs Blake and Murphy made their entrance along with Alexa Bliss. Both teams got full in-ring introductions.
Match Number Six: NXT Tag Team Champions Blake and Murphy (w/ Alexa Bliss) vs. The Vaudevillains (Aiden English and Simon Gotch) for the NXT Tag Team Championships
Gotch missed a dropkick, but same right back with a picture-perfect flying armbar for a good near-flash-finish. English fell behind the game momentarily, but he came back with a fantastic sequence of double armdrags to send things into the final break. [C]
Back in the ring, Gotch had control of Murphy until English tagged in and once again fell victim to Blake and Murphy. Moments later however, English sent one of the champs flying over the top rope into a plancha on the other. Blake and Murphy regained momentum as the crowd cracked themselves up with a chant of “Come on Barbie, let’s go party.” Funny.
English managed to send one of the champs into the ringpost and Gotch tagged in hot. Gotch hit a jumping double-knee strike and looked great through a string of offense. The Vaudevillains set up the Whirling Dirvish, but Bliss grabbed English’s foot and English was rolled up with a handful of tights for the loss.
Winners: Blake and Murphy
Post-match, The Vaudevillains fought back and connected on the Whirling Dirvish. They then surrounded Alexa Bliss and the crowd chanted “chivalry!” True to form, The Vaudevillains held the ropes and offered for her to leave the ring. Rather, she slapped each of them in the face and left on her own. Bliss regrouped with the champs on the ramp and the show closed with The Vaudevillains hot in the ring and the champs holding their title belts high on the stage.
